FSEA has several committees that need your support and which offer you the opportunity to become an actively involved member. This organization benefits greatly from the participation and input of its members and is only as strong as its membership. Please consider contributing your time and expertise toward FSEA´s goal of serving and educating the environmental analytical community.

Standards



Membership in the Florida Society of Environmental Analysts is a symbol of experience, competency, reliability, and stability in the profession.

These qualities are amplified by the following statements of ethical standards to which members of the society subscribe.

Code of Ethics

  • A member conducts the practice of his profession with integrity and objectivity.
  • A member will be certain about his qualifications to perform any assignment which he accepts.
  • A member will not undertake an assignment where is it clear that the only purpose is to use his name and reputation to lend weight to decisions already made or actions already planned, or where the member's freedom of independent analysis and recommendation is restricted.
  • A member can be depended upon to be truthful and forthright in his observations and recommendations.
  • A member will respect all information relating to the confidential affairs of his employer.
  • A member will not accept fees, commissions, or any other valuable consideration from organizations whose equipment, supplies, or services he may recommend.
  • A member will avoid all contact or practice likely to discredit or do injury to the profession.
  • A member will not directly or indirectly injure the professional reputation, prospects, or practice of another analyst.
  • A member will endeavor to merit the esteem of colleagues who subscribe to these standards; however, he will condemn unethical or illegal conduct by others which may come to his attention.
